STATEMENT OF FAITH |
WE BELIEVE :
- That the scriptures, both Old and New Testament to be the inspired, infallible,
authoritative Word of God in original writings; the complete revelation of his will for the Salvation
of mankind and the divine and final sovereign rule for Christian faith and life.
- In one true God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally self - existent in
three persons : FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT.
- That Jesus Christ is true God and Man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin womb.
He died on the cross, as a sacrifice for our sins according to Scriptures. Therafter, He rose again bodily
from the dead, ascended into heaven and has been seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high. He is our
High-Priest, Advocate and Mediator of the New Covenant.
- That man was created in image of God but, fell short of His grace because of sin, and is, therefore,
lost. That Salvation is received through repentance of sins toward God and Faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ.
By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by Grace, through Faith,
man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life.
- That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age,
to convict men, regenerate believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, help and empower the believer
which would be evident through the life of a believer inwardly and outwardly living.
- That the shed Blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and
Salavtion for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and,
thus become children of God.
- The odinance of Baptism by Immersion is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ Jesus as
personal Saviour and Lord are to be baptised “in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
that thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with
Him to walk in the newness of life.
- That the Lord’s Supper , consisting of elements-the bread and the fruit of the vine-is the symbol expressing our sharing
the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ; a memorial of His suffering and death; and a prophecy of His Second
Coming; and is enjoined on all believers “ till He comes”.
- That all believers should ardently expect and experince the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire according to the command of
our Lord Jesus Christ. That with it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of gifts
and their uses in the ministry. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth.
- That Jesus Christ is the Lord and head of the Church and that every local church has the right,
under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
- That a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the three-fold
purpose of leading the church ( body of Christ) in :
- Evangelisation for the world;
- Worship of God in Truth and Spirit;
- Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son.
- That the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church through the Rapture followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years. That this Millennial reign will
bring the Salavation of nation of Israel and establishment of universal peace.
